[title-raw] Live and Love: A Short Film Competition about Herpes

Make a 30 second film about HSV for a chance to win $30,000 in the AHMF's Live & Love short film competition.

We invite film makers to create a 30 second work to destigmatise herpes (HSV). Encourage conversation, debunk myths, break the taboo... allow your viewers to be transported to a world where their minds are open to a subject they would normally dismiss.

In 2007, the AHMF conducted an online survey to determine how many people were at risk of having herpes. The results are about to be presented to a wide international audience.

2008 travel scholarship winner announced

Winner of the 2008 AHMF Travel Scholarship is Dr Jonathon Howard. Dr Howard will be presenting his research: Investigation of the role of CMV and other herpesvirus in congenital infections and stillbirth at the International Herpesvirus Workshop in Ithaca, New York from July 25th to 31st 2009.

Online survey helps determine those likely to have herpes

36 per cent of survey participants found to be at high risk of contracting the virus.
