AHMF research to be presented internationally
In 2007, the AHMF conducted an online survey to determine how many people were at risk of having herpes. The results are about to be presented to a wide international audience.
The Herpes Risk Survey questioned participants about the number of sexual partners, history of herpes-like symptoms and knowledge of their partners' sexual health.
The online format proved very successful for gathering such personal information, and the survey results are now to be presented to international audiences:
- at the 18th International Society for STD Research congress in London in June 209
- in the International Journal of STD and AIDS in late 2009.
